I have a 16" MacBook Pro 2019 model and bought this product for 25.99 at the time because of the built in 720p webcam. I bought the webcam specifically for late night video calling, at where the built in camera is particularly terrible. No, this product won't blow you away as it does relatively well in good light. But it definitely outperforms the built in camera when capturing video in low light/night conditions where it has excellent noise reduction and offers sharpness. However, a noticeable red cast is added to skin tones and images can appear darker overall. Any family looking for a webcam for video calls should note that this camera has a significantly wider viewing angle than most laptop built-in webcams, which is good I liked the inclusion of a camera mount.
