After using this a few times I have to change my rating. The blade metal is so thin that the second time I used it and was just grinding mozzarella cheese, it actually caused the little "shovels" being ground to form burrs. This makes it almost impossible to clean without crushing the sponge. The usual method of running the sponge across the back in the opposite direction won't work as the ridges will catch on the sponge. This effectively makes it a disposable paper shredder.
