Loose passenger side seat

Easy to fit but one side didn't stay in the boot glass. I mounted a 5 wheel camper in the bed of a truck trying to mount it. It still hasn't stayed in the receiver glass. Tried to score for more grip and smash through the cleats hoping he would stay in the cup. NO, it didn't work. Lastly, I had to thread some bolts with washers into the top of the tabs in the truck's cup to secure the sumo spring in place. Another question is WHY is there a 1 to 2 inch gap between the bottom of the sumo spring and the truck leaf spring? My thoughts are that there should be less wiggle room to near zero wiggle room. The spring doesn't start working until you're over 1000 pounds in the body. My truck is always set to 5th wheel which adds 300lbs and my truck toolbox weighs another 300lbs so I assumed these springs would come very close to touching the truck spring. Even with the RV on the back of the truck, it probably weighs 1750 lbs shrunk by just an inch or so. Truck with built-in camper, that would be WRONG. I did NOT buy them for this reason, but I read that some have experienced this phenomenon. I would say I won't do that for the Chevy 2500HD. Haven't driven an RV yet to see if there is a difference. ng to insert screws into the sumosping to hold it in the cup. I'm sure this will shorten the life of the nib, but if it's not in the cup it will be lost somewhere along the way, not a good result.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
