I don't recommend anyone to use this as their only backup. If you use these discs, make an additional backup copy of your important data. They are used but not much longer than the lifespan you can get. I only use it in ZFS for gaming and have an external copy that I copy when I add enough files. Like I said, don't make those new permanent backups. The only use case where you don't mind throwing them away when they die. It can last 1-2 years or 5-10 years. It depends on how heavily you use them and whether you've picked one of the best.
