bought this walkman to listen to some old cassettes, mainly talking and some music. I'm glad I bought it and would buy it again for the same reasons. PROS1. plays my old cassettes with sound quality ranging from fair (music) to good (speech)2. easily connects to my computer and feeds into my recording program SOUND STUDIO (Mac) which does an excellent job of converting content onto CDs. available in terms of the reasons I needed it. CONS1. There's no counter or way of telling where you are on the tape or which side is playing. All of these shortcomings can be overcome, but it takes time. The easiest way is to copy the entire tape to a computer and edit it from there.2. runs only on batteries
