I haven't owned a Walkman since around 1985, so it's been interesting to see how far cassette technology has come since then. I don't see much. This Walkman only requires one AA battery - much lighter than the one that used to require four AA batteries! The tape speed is incredibly stable. You can shake and turn the thing in all directions and hear no difference in playback.
