Same as I had

This is a walkman that plays cassettes and records radio. It's battery operated, comes with a pouch that attaches to a belt loop or jeans - however the product image shows a pair of headphones that came with the Walkman. Mine came with cheap and painfully uncomfortable on-ear headphones - couldn't comment on the sound quality in them as I threw them away and used a pair of on-ear headphones bought in the same order (see reviews). bought this walkman to listen to some old cassettes, mainly talking and some music. I'm glad I bought it and would buy it again for the same reasons. The cassette is not ergonomic, but good for the price.

I haven't owned a Walkman since around 1985, so it's been interesting to see how far cassette technology has come since then. I don't see much. This Walkman only requires one AA battery - much lighter than the one that used to require four AA batteries! The tape speed is incredibly stable. You can shake and turn the thing in all directions and hear no difference in playback. Sounds good considering I'm listening to tapes that I recorded thirty years ago, so they might sound even better on…
