This product looked nice in the photos but what was missing was a tiny button on the detector that only stays on as long as you hold it down which it doesn't . easy, especially when trying to trace a wire in hard-to-reach places. If the button would activate the device and keep it powered on, that would work best, but it doesn't. Another thing I don't like is that the metal detector uses four button cells instead of standard and readily available AAA batteries. Build quality is good, but certainly not worth the Sperry name. The transmitter doesn't seem to have much power as the signal disappears after only a few meters. The product was made in China.
