Overall the construction is actually pretty solid, when the stand cover is open it slides a little to the left from slot to the other slot in the final position. At first the groove on one end looked like warped plastic, but it's there for a reason and doesn't allow the stand lid to float freely. I highly recommend ditching the stock adhesive and using the 3m gel tape others have mentioned. This takes this product from a 2/5 to a solid 5/5. My laptop isn't light either for a 15" laptop, it holds up well on a 6lb gel tape desktop/portable workstation replacement. The default glue is not trusted.
