Does not work as advertised for 1999 911 and possibly others

This product does not work with my 1999 Carrera 4th reader). Even after a software update, I couldn't access the airbag light to reset it. I returned the item as it was unusable for me. Here's the last email the support staff sent me: I'm sorry to report that 1999 models may be too old to diagnose. Currently our scanners are mainly for models from 2000 to 2014. However, you can check whether the ABS system should be scanned in menu 911 (991) or 911 (997). If none of them work, there may not be new software available for your car. In this situation, could you send us pictures showing the problems? I would like to check with our technician if there is any other solution, how about this? Any idea please let us know.
