Update*** July 2021 HDMI 1 completely stopped working after 1.8 years. They put a 2 year guarantee on it and a label so I will ship it. I will keep you up-to-date. I had to insist that my model had a two-year warranty before it would live up to it. They usually only offer one year. A little background on this is that I got a Sonos Arc in early 2020 and after almost 6 months of using the Atmos the sound dropped out and the projector overheated. So I actually bought an HD Fury Arcana to split the signal and offload the projector as it doesn't have HDMI eArc, only HDMI Arc which uses a spare pin on the cable to connect to the lossy Atmosphere. After a few weeks we're still failing, so I guess I'm too late. :(.*** OG review. The first one I ordered had issues. The second one seems much better. It's worth noting that they use different IR receivers for the speakers and projector. So if you Put things in closets that you may need Hook up a repeater specifically to this unit The sound is as good as any TV The picture is fantastic I can watch TV again in broad daylight or with the lights on even if it be It's just awesome 4K HDR works very well just a little learning To make it work with Xbox One you need to disable some "automatic features" and enable them on the projector for the port the Xbox is running on. I'd like to point out a few things that might help people make a decision Good you pay for great performance This is the shortest throw ratio I could find and it's bright ste picture at that time. Another projector with .optima? lumens, but longer aperture makes it infinitely more awkward. Serious. 5 inches from a wall means 15 inches tall and that makes a world of difference. The Vava projector is inferior in both parameters, projection ratio and light output. I wish they had a wireless surround system to integrate with, but I basically figured out how to make my own. I started with iogear wireless hdmi but eventually gave up and made way for Sonos arc + Sonos sub + Sonos amp. At first I hung the screen on the wall but after moving this time I just bought a floor screen and it works very well. Worth every penny apart from shipping damage (which Vividstorm compensates for me). They recently updated it so you can connect to Alexa and Google Home. Demonstrates the investment in the product. The Magic remote is awesome. I can control all of my devices with the Harmony app, Harmony remote, and Magic remote, and I have enough controllers that I can lose a few and still watch TV. Lol Something not so good: HomeKit/Apple TV isn't available yet, nor have they committed to supporting it. I originally bypassed this with a harmony hub, now I use Homebridge. Edge matching is useful but cumbersome. If I had to do it often I would send it back. I wish I could grab the edge and drag it to where I need it, but it literally clicks in that direction over and over again. This thing needs good airflow. I'm building a screen and a projector cabinet and oh my god. Trying to create a beautiful, functional design with maximum airflow is challenging. From time to time I think it's shutting down to cool down and I need to do a hard reset to get it working again. Worried but not worried. I wish there was a remote controlled Magic Mouse for my Xbox.
