Look, when I'm racing, it's normal. This is a great scooter to ride and folds out easily. However, if you need to fold it up, you have to push the locking lever with your thumb enough that the skin on your hand can peel off. And no, I don't have a fake "quick release" lever or anything like that (this thing swings in every direction, so it's not clear which way it was tightened or loosened). It was insanely difficult to fold, and you had to put the kind of force on the locking lever that only a grown man can really apply. a strength that a child cannot muster at all.
