We use Arrowhead 5 gallon water bottles with handles on the main bottle. These caps fit when you press them. very tight, but you can never pull them off or cut them off without major problems if you just do it. Raised up to about a quarter of an inch they slide firmly in and out of the bottle neck, the caps still stay in place and seal reasonably well. with the caps cut off it turned out to work fine, for our situation it's not ideal. The plastic on these caps appears to be very durable, even after being cut and removed about a dozen times. You will still find it difficult to rip them off to fill them. We put the empty bottle on the floor, as if grabbing it with our feet and knees, and use both hands to clean it from top to bottom.
