I have four Scotty rail mounts, rod holders, downriggers with rail mounts and they have all been great products. Some of them have been on my boat for 20 years. I recently bought another holder and rail mount. The Striker rod holder is great. The rail mounting kit was junk. The stainless fittings appeared to be porcelain, and two of the four clasps were frayed (mostly from cold welding) and had to be cut off with a saw to remove them. Luckily I had a set of brackets from Scotty's old crowbar and was able to install them with no problems. Scotty, put American stainless hardware in your products, not that crap.
