Only managed to use one of two different buckles for American Airlines

I bought this thinking it was the same seat belt. The blue one doesn't work for American Airlines and I'm not sure which airline will use this buckle. I needed two for my husband and I but as one didn't work properly we still had to ask for an extension cord.
