This product is quite durable. The wall plate is made of solid steel, as is the bracket. It consists of 3 main parts: a wall plate and two rear TV brackets. Overall the installation went well and I feel like my TV is securely attached to the wall. BTW there are 2 small screws on the bottom of the TV mounts that prevent the TV from detaching from the wall plate when there is some up and down movement (due to earthquakes? ). Maybe all TV wall mounts have them, but this was my first. Remember, measure twice, drill once. The built-in spirit level makes leveling easier.
