MY MISTAKE BECOMES SOMETHING BIG

Let me first explain the four stars. I deduct a star for stupidity. I ordered the wrong bags. That's what happens when you get old. Now four stars for the bags themselves. I've been a widower for ten years and still can't understand how to cook for a year. There are always leftovers that I keep in plastic bags, mostly small ones. Those gallon-sized bags made them cook differently, which turned out to be a good thing. I'm a meat and potato lover as well as a bit of root veggies and I now prepare my meals ahead of time. I prefer chicken, usually boneless, and now I buy it for my family. Family size just means more, and in my area you buy family size or pay twenty-five cents to a dollar more for smaller packages. In fact, this is a robbery and a burden for lonely and elderly people who only have to support themselves. I roast them all, 6 to 8 in the oven, mostly with different herbs. After they cool down, I put the breast in the bag. While the chicken is in the oven, I cook the root vegetables. These include potatoes, carrots, whole onions, whole turnips, turnips, and zucchini. While the chicken cooks, the vegetables roast. Once they're done and cool, I divide them evenly and place them on top of the chicken. The pockets are sealed and the zipper on these pockets is strong. You can turn them upside down and they stay safe. These can be frozen. When I need it, I let it thaw in the fridge. I have a defrost microwave, but for some reason the veggies were getting raw when I went to dinner and the chicken was still frozen in the middle. I also cook pasta with sauce and they also go in the freezer, thaw and go in a bag in the microwave. Warning. When reheating something with sauce, open only a small portion of the zipper. There are countless other recipes I want to experiment with. My GP found the bags very handy for storing some cleaning supplies and even made a rain hat out of them. My physical therapist used them to store his massage oils so they wouldn't spill. I think there must be hundreds if not thousands of things that bags can be used for. To complete it. The bags, although the wrong size, turned out fantastic.
