Review on Revamped Continental Top Contact II Bicycle Tire with Foldable Reflex Feature by Ronald Ingram

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I was looking for, great tires!

Having recently built an e-bike, I quickly realized that the tires that came with the Donner bike were not the best option for my commute. The bike came with a 700c 38 that also had mini knobs for light off-road use. On bumpy roads and higher speeds, the plush tires felt a bit jerky, and higher speeds resulted in aggressive tread wear. So I chose these tires, Top Contact II 700c x42. The wider profile significantly reduces the impact of bumps and bumps in the road. At this size, handling remains nimble but makes for a more comfortable ride. Having ridden them less than 50km I am very happy with them. The center bead ensures a smooth and efficient ride. Driving at higher speeds makes me feel more confident on rough roads and the lateral tread patterns seem to grip the road pretty well. The motorcycle rolls almost silently even on uneven roads. Off-road performance, I'd say they handle packed dirt well, but caution should still be exercised on aggressive corners, but they still seem to hold the road well. Overall, the bike feels a bit heavier, but the extra comfort and efficiency are worth it. My ride can go up to 35mph and I'm pretty sure these tires will take the abuse. My ride could probably use a 47 for more cushioning, but I think it might slow the bike down too much. I may update again in a few months. Nice; great tires! Update: I've driven almost 1000 miles on these tires and they show almost no signs of wear. Another advantage is that these tires perform well on wet roads. They absorb water well and still feel well connected. Fender face shields are still recommended. Reflective side panels are also provided for commuting. At this speed I would say these tires will provide thousands of commuting miles and driving pleasure. Will probably buy again. Selling a tire for my commuter e-bike and light terrain.
