Exactly what I needed.

I no longer ride mountain bikes and I no longer have a road bike. I finally changed my first set of tires on my commuter/touring bike and needed a spare that would really serve all purposes. I was originally a size 38 on my aggressive hybrid bike and went a little wider with the 42. It was worth it. They are very quiet and have little rolling resistance like my old gravel tread tires. They grip the trail well and ride down the road as smooth as glass. It seemed to me that the wider tread…

Gravel Pickup No Problem

These tires will pick up tiny bits of gravel, but on the roads I drive it's not a problem where there are rocks, gravel, thorns, sticks and (thanks to Texas open container law) there ) lots of broken glass on bike paths. Maybe I'll take a minute to remove 3 pieces of gravel stuck to the front wheel and none from the rear after a 23 mile ride like this. However, I spend most of my time dodging obstacles on the road. So far I haven't had a flat tire at all with Continental Top Contact II tires…

So far I'm really excited about these tires. I was concerned that the tread wasn't as deep as the previous tires I had, but I have no complaints after about 200 miles. I was coming home from a drive the other day where I saw something stuck in the front for a few miles and when I looked closely it was a goat, a very serious thorn that we have here in Texas. Tucked into the side panel but not deep enough to pierce the inside of the tube, which pleased me. I'll probably still use cleats when…

  • There are other interesting options.

I bought these tires to replace the stock Innova tires that came with my Diamondback Hybrid. The Innova tires lasted five years, but since I never changed them, the rear wore out faster than the front, so I decided to replace both. The profile on the Innova looks the same as it did on the Continental Ride Tour and I think that's what I should have gotten. I bought these because the reviews and description said they were for added puncture protection. I ride an average of 10 miles a day, 8…

Exactly what I was looking for, great tires!

Having recently built an e-bike, I quickly realized that the tires that came with the Donner bike were not the best option for my commute. The bike came with a 700c 38 that also had mini knobs for light off-road use. On bumpy roads and higher speeds, the plush tires felt a bit jerky, and higher speeds resulted in aggressive tread wear. So I chose these tires, Top Contact II 700c x42. The wider profile significantly reduces the impact of bumps and bumps in the road. At this size, handling…
