Review on Revamped Continental Top Contact II Bicycle Tire with Foldable Reflex Feature by Marcus Barlow

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was concerned that the tread wasn't as deep as the previous tires I've had, but that's not the case.

So far I'm really excited about these tires. I was concerned that the tread wasn't as deep as the previous tires I had, but I have no complaints after about 200 miles. I was coming home from a drive the other day where I saw something stuck in the front for a few miles and when I looked closely it was a goat, a very serious thorn that we have here in Texas. Tucked into the side panel but not deep enough to pierce the inside of the tube, which pleased me. I'll probably still use cleats when riding on loose gravel but haven't tested them yet, I generally prefer a more aggressive tread. I'll see how they hold up against the previous Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour tires I've ridden over the last two years but so far I'm very happy. Update - three months away and I've stopped changing tires as often as I'd like. I am fine. I cheer on these Contis and just drive. I can ride this gooey thin dirt on bike lanes and it's not the end of the world, but still. They feel very competent, they're not off-road tires, but for a "bad road bike" like my Strangler I'm VERY happy, got exactly what I needed.
