Well, we love the carpet. It's beautiful, as soft as memory foam when you walk on it. It is machine washable and very easy to care for. The real reason I bought these rugs is because all the floors in our house are tile. Our dog just turned 16 and weighs about 100 pounds. It was a cheaper and much better alternative to laying down real carpet to make him more comfortable because the tile caused him pain when stepping on and off. It is machine washable, which is much easier to care for than carpet. He loves her and lies more on the floor, but still sleeps in our bed as usual. So I bought two more identical rugs so we could make our alternative to carpeting. In addition, the price is unbeatable. If something goes wrong, it's worth buying another one of the same kind. I will also be buying more to do the same in my father-in-law's bedroom. It's just beautiful and worth it. It lies flat unaided and doesn't slip either, as they say it won't. No smell, I really like it and I'm very happy with our decision. I think the photos and how happy our 16 year old dog is will help you in your final decision. The photos speak for themselves, especially seeing him happy and contented is our proof. You have to consider that he is a 16 year old dog and to know how comfortable he is, imagine how we feel. We're so glad we went this route and didn't move carpet. Much easier to care for. Trust me we have a farm and I know it was amazing.
