Both doors are broken. The outer flap broke after about 4 months. Not great, but not a deal breaker either. The second valve broke after a few months. Now we need to buy another dog door. The doors themselves become stiff and brittle when it's cold. They then crack and break where they are held in the frame. That's a pretty big design flaw for something that costs so much. Do not buy. Original review: This is a dog door and seems to be holding up well. Not "sealed", one side of the first valve isn't touching the frame, and the other side of the other valve isn't touching either, so it's leaking a bit. This can probably be fixed with a simple kludge. Do not use a template to cut out the door, it is too big for the part that actually fits in the door. Simply lift the piece with the larger insert, take a pencil and trace over it for a pattern. Poke like crazy.
