Review on πŸ”Œ SIIG 4K HDMI Splitter with EDID Management - 1x2 Output, 4:4:4, 60Hz, HDCP 2.2, 18Gbps, Auto Scaling, Low Heat by Mark Green

Working great customer service

Works on my Hyperion installation. Definitely transmits 4K@60Hz, RGB 4:4:4, YUV 4:2:2/4:2:0, HDR10 and HDCP 2.2 to the desired device. I'm keeping it in EDID learning mode as the default all-on mode removed all framerate options except 50 and 60Hz. Can't speak to the scaling function - I actually use a more specialized scaler between this splitter and the 1080p device. Haven't tested 24Hz or Dolby Vision yet - I might come back to the update review when I do. Just a note: if you plan to upscale a 4k signal from HDR to 1080p, you will lose color data on a 1080p screen and it will look washed out in HDR+ 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 modes. That is, unless you find the holy grail of scalers that can upscale the HDR color space to the SDR color space in real time. Or if your display can't handle HDR at 1080p, which isn't even relevant at the moment. Update: Downgraded to three stars. One output started flickering and I identified the problem with the splitter. Possibly return. Update 2: I'm adding a star because support is really trying to help and will exchange my device as it may be faulty. Update 3: 5 stars returned. The support was great They replaced my broken device and all is well. Color data on a 1080p screen is lost and looks washed out in HDR+ 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 modes.
