Heavier than worsted, 5 more than 4.
The color (red) is beautiful and the clothes will definitely be warm. However, it is heavier than 4 (worsted), more like a five. Unfortunately I didn't rehearse before I started so I have to rip the stitches and start over. For that reason alone I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise the yarn looks decent, a bit stiff but fairly even. The red isn't the base red I was expecting, but it's nice nonetheless. I also ordered gray but haven't received it yet.
