At first I thought the nozzle was leaking heavily, then I found out these canisters were leaking from the vent.

I thought it doesn't flow well and doesn't fit, but then I found out on the internet that these MFC cans leak from a tiny vent around the nozzle when gas enters the vent tube. Once the vent pipe is clean, it will no longer leak. Apparently you can stop that brief initial leak by blowing out and clearing out the vent before attempting to add fuel. So the original leak has nothing to do with that injector. After learning about this and trying to use the nozzle again, it worked perfectly. It's still a little tricky to crash straight into a gas can.
