I don't think these stones are for the aquarium. My ammonia levels went off the charts when I put it in my tank. Months have passed as I struggled to figure out why my ammonia levels weren't going down despite treatment and water changes/treatments. I ended up taking out the rocks because they don't look as pretty as I thought they would and are too light to float around in the aquarium. A few days after the stones were removed, my ammonia levels finally went down. As an experiment, I put some rocks (I cleaned them first) in a separate container of clean water and tested the water a few hours later. Of course there was ammonia in the water. I do not recommend these stones for aquariums.
