If you accidentally set a combination you can't remember and don't block the male side, you're done. There is no way to open the receptacle end to insert the fork end. I suppose the same applies if you accidentally block it and don't remember the combination. There's a separate dial button, but you can't change the combination unless you've already set the same combination, which you may have forgotten. And there are no instructions or any warnings (maybe that's what the packaging says in Chinese)!
