So, like everyone else in the world who used to work in an office, I moved to my home office when everything went wrong. In terms of investing in a home office, I initially refrained from doing any housework because I thought it would only take two weeks. As it went from two weeks to two months or more, I decided to invest in my home office. The first purchase after a long research was this KVM switch. The important things first. The monitor switch and remote to switch the monitor between two different systems work like a charm and are easy to connect. The problems started when I tried to connect my wireless mouse and keyboard. I've tried all possible combinations. I contacted the support team who were very dedicated and supportive. Together we tried several combinations again. We tried my son's separate wired gaming mice and gaming keyboards (he claims gaming adjectives make them more legal). Still nothing for keyboard or mouse. Switching between monitors continued to work without any problems. At that point, support sent me a second switch. Here, too, monitor switching and remote control worked as expected. With continued support from customer service, we got through the whole exercise again. Still nothing for keyboard or mouse. The next option is to update the drivers on my computers. I don't own the rights to my work laptop and plan to upgrade my home laptop here soon. I ended up leaving the switch on as monitor toggling is what I need, but I'm also hoping that newer laptops with updated drivers will allow mouse and keyboard toggling. As before, customer support was with me every step of the way and wanted me to get back to work when I received new devices. I can't ask for more.
