) "defaced" from my Epson Workforce Pro WF-4740. I am pleased to report that this product works with firmware version CN09L4 that I have installed. Note that you can check the current firmware version from the printer's touchscreen by selecting Settings and then Firmware Update. This shows the current firmware version and offers an option to "upgrade" (which you probably don't want to do if you're interested in this product) or disable future firmware update notifications (which you may need). . I've found that none of Epson's firmware downgrade methods apply to this relatively new CN09L4 version, so it's a relief that some brands of aftermarket ink cartridges remain compatible. So far I've only installed the magenta cartridge along with three other Epson branded cartridges; If I find any problems later I will update this review.
