When I first opened the box there was a template inside, I was immediately shocked at how flimsy this unit is, definitely not worth the price it is I paid for it. The guide sleeve costs more than the template. However, I went ahead and gave it a try. If you think you're going to use this to make an odd-width dado, you're dead wrong. You can't center anything other than a standard size tenon (1/4", 1/2" etc. Try using it on a 5/8" tenon to place the cut where it will be I've tried everything and wasted hours of time with no success. I called the manufacturer and they told me they needed to email me with some solutions, that was a few days ago and they never sent them. I returned eventually went back to my usual method and created my own guide SO DO NOT waste your money on a useless gimmick, buy another brand that is METAL AND REALLY WORKS.
