Your add-on to this device should state this.

In addition to this attachment, note that it is only intended for compact routers. The only router I found was a #450 porter cable. The adapter ring is too small for regular routers. Thank you Paul Wilts.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Overall excellent. But easy to break!

Bought this a few months ago and finally used it yesterday. It was easy to set up and very easy to use. Problem. On the last slot (first board) I must have tipped the router because in a split second the pilot hole was completely destroyed rendering the auxiliary tool completely useless. I'll see if I can build myself a wooden version of the same instrument, but if I can't make it I'll buy it again. It is definitely worth owning this tool.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No instructions

Weak and cheap. Don't waste your money

The video of this thing in action looked really cool. But I struggled for two hours to get it working. If you start at the edge of the plywood test piece, the plastic case is so flimsy that it bends and falls off the ruler I bought with it. I finally gave up, went back to the table saw and finished everything needed for the project I was working on in less than 30 minutes. All in all, it's cheap junk. Don't waste money on it.

Not very strong for power tools and hand tools

The base plate was used to stabilize the router when drilling holes for dogs. I've done a good job with this, but I've noticed that the brass splint comes off fairly easily. The bushing also got very hot and the base plate started to soften. I slowed it down to cool it down and that seems to have helped. On the next project I cut out Dado and the sleeve came off again. This time it got hot enough to completely melt the hole that the bushing sits in and push it off center. Unless they switch the

Ideal for straight milling

Simple solution for single line straight milling. Simply screw the brass fitting to the underside of the bevel and insert the bevel into the small hole in the template. It doesn't jam, but holds up well enough to make clean cuts through a 3" aluminum rod. listed and tested. It works surprisingly well and is very easy to center for precise grooves. The plastic is durable, may wear off over time but seems solid enough. Definitely does its job.

  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Socket wrench required

Lack of precision and reproducible duplication.

I purchased this product with a straight edge and saw guide. A ruler with an extension and saw guide has been tried and tested to make straight and true 8-foot cuts from finished 3/4-inch plywood. The jig adjustment was tenuous at best and didn't allow for fine tuning and could become loose. There aren't many moving parts, but the ones that do are subpar, especially when they loosen mid-ridge and your groove doesn't go straight anymore, even if it's all only 1/16th.

I didn't realize the main feature until I watched YouTube

Adjusting the router base, which involves placing a small piece of plywood between the plastic jaws for the first cut and then removing it for the second cut, is not covered in the instructions supplied with the machine. You take out a piece of plywood, clench your jaw all the way, but be careful, the fence has small burrs on both sides, and you need to put the fence right in the middle, otherwise the width of the cut will be too small. After the second day of using the device I noticed that…

Gigantic scam! Best in Power Tool Parts & Accessories

When I first opened the box there was a template inside, I was immediately shocked at how flimsy this unit is, definitely not worth the price it is I paid for it. The guide sleeve costs more than the template. However, I went ahead and gave it a try. If you think you're going to use this to make an odd-width dado, you're dead wrong. You can't center anything other than a standard size tenon (1/4", 1/2" etc. Try using it on a 5/8" tenon to place the cut where it will be I've tried everything and
