Review on Bodum Grinder Electronic Continuously Adjustable by Edwin Cen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good machine, efficient and attractive

Note: As it will turn out, we have a white machine. I can't say anything about the appearance of the other colors. We have tried many coffee grinders over the years and this is by far the best. The white color is attractive and goes well with the color of the kitchen (this is important for the woman). The funnel looks like it's going to take up a lot of space, but it really doesn't, so we're all excited about that. The lid is just a flat top so it's easy to remove and empty the beans (usually we buy beans from Trader Joe's or Starbucks). The machine grinds the beans in 30 seconds and sends the coffee grounds into the storage compartment (see image) and this unit just slides out making access to the useful coffee grounds very easy. We're pretty much keeping the espresso grind size because it works well with our Melita single-cup maker, but it's easy to adjust the grind size to suit your preference or brewing method by simply rotating the funnel. Warning: This is a grinder and the coffee grounds end up on the counter, so expect to have a few dry pieces of coffee to clean up. Also, we like dark roasted beans, which tend to be a bit oily. This oiliness sometimes causes them to get stuck in the mechanism, so we often have to shake the machine for everything to work properly. We don't mind and the car is light. If you don't mind that either, the Bodum could be a good car to consider.
