2007 Honda Element. During a previous oil change I noticed that the belt tensioner bounced back and forth a bit. There is an arrow showing the tension and it doesn't stay in place while the machine is running. Then AS started to play. Then it started overheating so I checked and had to replace the radiator and condenser fans. I don't have AC test tools so I replaced it and the Bando 7PK1765 belt. The A/C hasn't worked since the replacement so I'm hoping it was due to belt slippage due to poor belt tension resulting in low compressor pressure. I've been using the conditioner almost every day for the past 3 months. The belt was also very worn, there were no more words and the material of the fabric was visible. The stock Honda part lasted about 77,000 miles and 10 years if anyone is wondering. If you decide to do it yourself and need advice, either be very patient with your tools or learn how to support the engine block and remove the engine mount that is preventing you from easily working with this setup. I did it without taking it off but boy would it definitely save time.
