I can't believe I wanted to spend $270 at a Nissan dealership just because the plastic part on the key fob that attaches to the keychain broke. Luckily I watched a hack video on YouTube which explained that in this case you can just buy a new keychain case and transfer the circuit board and battery. The product has a small assembly that requires you to fit this small piece of metal into the case that houses the battery. Look at an old keychain to see what it should look like. It took me two tries to get it working, so for a second I thought it might be a fake product. But I took it back, double checked everything and of course it works like magic! I bought it for my 2003 Nissan Frontier.
