I use this in my coop when the weather is very cold. Other infrared heaters work, but they also wake up the chicks, causing them to lay, meaning they don't rest. Winter is the time when "girls" recover from the very strenuous task of laying eggs. This product provided warmth on the bitterly cold nights without forcing me to lie down. Thanks very much!
