I was going to buy the Topping E30 but the Loxjie D30 uses the same chip and has many more features for about the same price. I bought the D30 and Drop THX AAA One to use with the BGVP DMG headphones. The D30 amplifies almost as well as the $200 AAA One (and just as crisply). So I sent the AAA One back. On the D30 I set the preamp volume to 30 (half) and the windows volume to 30-50%. At 50% it's loud enough that I don't want to listen for long. So the thing has real returns, at least for in-ear headphones. For the line out to the onboard amp, I set the volume to 40% on the D30 and 40% on the stereo, and it's very loud - like I don't want to hear more than a few songs at that level. The sound is clear and significantly better than most internal DACs. Filters don't seem to do much. The only thing I would like is the sound field settings and an equalizer for the device. Also, a spectrum analyzer for the display would be nice, but that's all pretty perfunctory and can be done through windows. Almost all reviews on YouTube praise this thing.
