This Marmot rain jacket is well thought out and well made. This jacket is basically a rainproof jacket. It will give you no warmth. So if it's a cold or chilly day, you'll need to throw some clothes underneath. The hood can be rolled under the collar and fastened with Velcro when you don't need to use the hood. The inside of the collar is lined with soft fabric. So the collar doesn't irritate the skin. My son uses it as a raincoat. He belongs to a hiking club that tries to go hiking every month, whatever the weather. This jacket has done him good.
