Review on 🔧 Bullshark Bond (3 Pair) Tailgate Handle Rod Clips for 1999-2007 GMC Silverado, Sierra, Chevy - OEM#: 88981030, 88981031, Left and Right by Melvin Man

I used to have sticky tailgate latches but this was different. I felt like the latch on my 06 Silverado was unlocking on the left side but the right side was stuck. I loosened the three screws on the inside of the handle and removed the latch to find these little plastic link retainers that hold the link rod to the handle mechanism and one of them failed. (cracked, brittle, 17 year old plastic) I had no idea what to call these things, but damn it if Revain didn't have a lot of "Silverado tailgate clips" on the list. I chose a pack of 3 pairs. I figured I might break one installing it, or worse, drop it in the back door. So for the price, the Triple Hit was my pick. I replaced both sides, assuming the other old part is just as prone to aging as the broken one. I really don't think it's a big deal to break during installation unless you have gorilla hands. Lucky I didn't drop one in the gate so I have some spares for this friend with the same tailgate latch issue or in another 17 years, whichever comes first.
