Purchased to scan gym membership key fobs. The keychain consists of 2 letters followed by 4-5 numbers. All I did was plug the scanner into my computer and it worked right away. No downloads, drivers, settings, etc. Truly plug and play. It's also very fast. The last one took us forever to read the barcode and sometimes just wouldn't work. So far it has been 100% consistent and fast after a few weeks of use! It's worth it considering some of the prices these things can go for.
