Doesn't work with my Garmin GPS even though it's listed as a compatible device. Contacted Garmin Tech Support and they didn't answer. I was told there was no support for connecting GPS to PC to read NMEA sentences directly from the serial port. I've done this with countless other GPS units, both Magellan and Garmin, with Hyper Terminal, but as per Garmin technology, the serial data can only be seen by other devices on the boat like a chartplotter and not a computer(?) I really wanted to connect my GPS to my laptop and tablet to see my way with Google Earth and GOOPS, too bad that Garmin that says this is impossible.
