Works very well with Craftsman Pro Work Site / Ridgid Compact Saw

It's stronger and sturdier than it looks. The only assembly is the leg extensions. I wish they were continuous but that would require a much larger package. Although the clutches seem strong enough. This works great on my professional Craftsman jig saw. This is a red tubular frame saw with wheels and a telescopic handle. This is almost the same as the Ridgid compact saw. Both are no longer for sale. Too bad they are cheaper and have more power than Bosch or Dewalt. Also good quality. They have a metal corner stop, as opposed to Dewalt's plastic (I don't know about Bosch). The top of the stand is just the right size for the saw base. All you have to do is attach a pair of 1x3 hardwood boards to the side of the saw legs so they fit into the clamp mechanism on top of the base. The round tubes on these saws are thicker than the square tubes from Bosch and do not fit directly into the clamps. It helps if you turn the saw legs over so the screw holes are on the inside and you have the best spacing for the bands. I've been thinking about getting a Bosch Gravity Lift universal stand, but it costs about three times as much and weighs about the same as my saw. It would be a real beast to be dragged up the stairs. The Craftsman already has its own wheels and handlebars. Mounting most compact saws to a stand is easy by attaching wooden planks to the base of the saw. However, this adds 3/4" to the height, which is fine with me since most table saws are lower than they should be.
