Great value but not for painting miniatures

For context I paint 28mm D&D and Warhammer 40k models. Pros: It's definitely a great price. 10 brushes are sold to hobbyists and miniaturists for just over a dollar a brush. The triangular handle is comfortable and helps with hand fatigue during long drawing sessions. Wide range of sizes covering everything from small details to basic coverage of large areas of terrain. Cons: They are not good for drawing miniatures in wargames. The "value" you get is quality. After four days of painting, 3 of the 4 brushes I used started developing curled tips. The fourth had cleft bristles sticking out on the sides. I have often noticed that individual bristles stick to my models. This was less of an issue after the first painting session, which seemed to sort out the weak bristles. Although the triangular handle is very comfortable, it only blocks the use of the brush in three specific positions. This makes it impossible to rotate the brush and approach it from different angles to keep the bristles fresh. I think that's the main reason why the tips start hooking so quickly. Synthetic bristles really suck. The color on them dries very quickly, they just don't hold the color for long sessions. I found that after painting one model of my second model, it was often necessary to repaint the brush after five or six separate strokes unless I completely cleaned the brush. The choice of sizes is very superfluous. Out of 10 brushes I really only needed 4 sizes to cover everything from basic coverage to fine detail on different model sizes. Conclusion: If you are looking for a cheap brush set, you know that these are easy to destroy, like painting grounds or terrain, how can you argue with the price. However, if you are serious about your models, you will have to put up with it and spend some money on 3-5 decent quality brushes.
