What is. It's a nice little boombox that plays cassettes I don't have, CDs I don't have anymore, and plays MP3s well which is why I bought it. I connect my phone to it via the input jack and it works great. I burned some MP3 discs on my computer. One is just a bunch of MP3s and the other I created in folders with each artist's name. Everyone worked fine. The Folder CD was much easier to use to find specific music. You must finalize the CD when burning it, otherwise it won't work. Again, you cannot leave the drive open. you have to refine it. For what it is and what I expected. This is a nice old little Sony boombox for my shop. Just do the job well!
