This cricket pen is amazing compared to the 'bucket of crickets' you get from Mal-Wart. If you're cheap when buying crickets (or don't have a local pet store to get you fancy crickets), half a container of these inferior crickets fits in comfortably. This cup contains about 50 adult crickets fed potato for less than $3, compared to five crickets fed extra gut for $6. Anyway, the cricket pen works great. Crickets are clever enough to climb pipes so they don't have to look at anyone. This allows them to do all their dirty work in the dark. I don't judge, so don't take it that way. It actually works in my favor. I pull the hose out of the aquarium and lead her to the fiercest ambush predator known to man, the Pac-Man Frog. A flick of my wrist sends frustrated crickets flying, apex predators running to their deaths. Those crickets aren't that smart anymore.
