I'm a woodworker and I love it!

I'm a carpenter and I love this product! Here's what I did when I got it: Wipe it down with a damp cloth. This lifts the fibers in the wood and makes it feel very rough. Then take 220 grit sandpaper and sand lightly. Wipe again with a damp cloth to remove dust. Then brush it with either cutting board oil or fractionated coconut oil. This gives it some water resistance and better preserves the wood. It is now ready to be used as a pizza crust. Here's the thing, this is NOT a cutting board. Don't slice pizza on it unless you want ridges. Dust with cornmeal and assemble the pizza, this will help the dough slide off the skin and onto the cooking surface. You can wipe it with a damp cloth, but NEVER PUT IN WATER! This is a well made product and I've been looking forward to it for years!
