Excellent quality, construction and product, but unprofitable for other manufacturers, except for a furniture store with consistently large projects. Blum's installation guide (online) lists all the necessary dimensions and tolerances you'll need, and the only item in this kit that's really needed is a retaining ring for the 6mm drill bit so you don't have the side of the drawer have to drill (blind hole). and the drills offered by Blum are ideal for this. I ended up buying a set of 2 drill bits and a stop collar and that's all you really need along with a data sheet and a good scale to mark the location of the 6mm hole. Blum guides are the best in the business and are so well designed to tolerances that with a good layout and the right tools (punch, pilot/countersink, 6mm drill and retaining ring) a reasonably experienced person can install the guides. all day without this tool and two other recommended kit purchases. If Blum could pack all the necessary tools into one kit (this jig, locking ring, 6mm drill bit) and lower the price significantly, it could be cost-effective for a small project. Otherwise, unless you are a carpentry shop with a large production running parallel processes, this is not necessary or inexpensive. I installed 14 sets of drawers in 3 island cabinets in just over a day with no tools and the installation was easy and I perfectly aligned the drawers with ease. Careful measurements, pre-drilling, etc. do NOT count as "cloud," as one reviewer noted. This is an essential skill to test yourself with, and will save you almost $100 (3 separate kit items "required"/available) on a small project compared to buying a jig, drill extension kit, and a 6 mm drill.
