This is definitely heat shrink tubing and definitely contains glue. I bought it to waterproof electrical connections on some car mods, but I tested it on the headphone jack first (see photo). The red look discolors a bit if you *cough* use a lighter and get too close because you're impatient. One thing I would like to point out is that the glue makes it quite stiff once it cures, stiffer than normal shrinking. As long as you don't bend the wire near the joint (which you shouldn't do anyway), you should be fine. The box is also nice and organized. I would buy it again.
