I have read many reviews on this product and have come across some angry customers who have claimed this item is sized incorrectly, because it didn't fit the end of the 1 1/4 PVC pipe. This is because 1 1/4 Schedule 40 PVC pipe has an inside size of 1 1/4 inches, but its outside diameter (external dimension) is actually closer to 2 inches. 1 1/4" Schedule 40 PVC pipe you will need a cap that fits the 2" outer pipe. 1 1/4" for the inside hole size of the pipe and another approx. 1/2" for the outside wall of the 1/4" pipe itself. This item is ideal for 1 1/4" pipe and hose. Exactly as stated and advertised.
