Interesting. I installed a more expensive filter at the top of the firebox which I usually buy from my local members camp club but the filter ran out so I bought this filter from Revain and installed it at the bottom of the firebox. I usually change filters in spring and fall. My stove stopped working downstairs today (March 4th). The filter was very dirty and the service technicians confirmed that the dirty filter caused the circuit breaker to trip. This has never happened before. The filter above still looks pretty good despite being a more heavily used oven. This leads me to believe that they don't last as long as the more expensive established brands. However, they are a lot cheaper unless you need to call in an HVAC specialist. When you buy them, check them often to make sure they don't get too dirty.
