DO NOT USE ON THE GRILL. This is my 3rd purchase. I was able to get a new sensor once because they offered a lifetime warranty when the sensor stopped working. So take care of the paperwork and the box because the probe will stop working in about a year. But my second number didn't have a lifetime warranty phone, and I couldn't find the right number to call. I couldn't resist and bought another one. So I had the same brand for about 10 years. I've learned to save my information until exchanged. DO NOT BBQ, you will melt the probe cable and it is YOUR fault. But it works great, and if the guarantee works even better
