Bluetooth setup is very different from other Bluetooth setups

For such a cheap meter this meter has a lot of features and looks very good. I'm writing this because I don't want anyone else to fix the issues I was having with the Bluetooth functionality. It does not work like other Bluetooth devices. Most devices will indicate in the iPhone settings that the device should connect with Bluetooth. The APP must be installed on THIS METER and the meter must be selected from the device list IN THE APP. You will NOT see the meter in the Bluetooth list on the iPhone UNTIL it is selected in the app. Very strange! So make sure you download the app. Select the left box and click the big plus sign. You will then be presented with a list of devices, some of which look strange. The instructions tell you to select BBLRDG. My choice fell on BDM. Maybe other Owon counters are called differently, I don't know. I'll try to verify this further, but this is my first look at this gauge. Now I have 2 OWon meters: OW18B and B35T+. Aside from a small difference in shape and the B35T+ fabric case, the only other difference is the 9V battery in the OW18B and the 2 AA cells in the B35T+.
